The Learning Science Weekly Podcast brings together thought leaders, researchers, creatives, authors, and scientists to chat about the science of learning and how it can be applied in corporate and customer education.

In this week's episode, we interviewed Carl Crisostomo and Dr. Kripa Sundar. Tune in to learn some of the biggest challenges in translating learning science research into meaningful insights, tips & tricks to apply to your own learning journey, and trusted resources where you can get learning science information.

Guest 1: Dr. Kripa Sundar

"My entire passion is to help people learn about learning." - Dr. Kripa Sundar

Dr. Kripa Sundar is a learning scientist working with all stakeholders to make learning effective, efficient, and engaging. Much of Dr. Kripa Sundar's work is on studying the effects of seductive details in learning, something that is prevalent across many learning ages. You can see the research and practitioner publication on her website. One observation she made through her experiments was that including seductive details lessened how important the lesson was perceived to be. From her limited corporate experience, it is common among workplace training too.

Here are some readings that have changed Dr. Kripa Sundar's thinking:

"I think that education is the primary way that we can open minds and change." Dr. Kripa Sundar
