Dr. Kripa Sundar is a learning scientist working with all stakeholders to make learning effective, efficient, and engaging. Much of Dr. Kripa Sundar's work is on studying the effects of seductive details in learning, something that is prevalent across many learning ages. You can see the research and practitioner publication on her website. One observation she made through her experiments was that including seductive details lessened how important the lesson was perceived to be. From her limited corporate experience, it is common among workplace training too.
