Guest: Mirjam Neelen

Mirjam Neelen is currently Head of Global Learning Design & Learning Sciences at Novartis. In her current role, she is responsible for the global learning design strategy and plan. She has around 15 years of industry experience, working at a wide variety of companies, including Google and Accenture.

She takes a holistic approach to learning, always keeping the people and their jobs front and center, as well as the business priorities of course. She also leads matrixed teams and provides advisory and consultative support to all learning teams on learning design practices.

Mirjam has always been a proud advocate for evidence-informed approaches to learning experience design and has had a collaborative blog with Paul A. Kirschner for over 5 years. Together, they have recently published a book on evidence-informed learning experience design.
